The new decade is here and with it comes World Telemark Day 2020 – mark your calendars for March 7, 2020. Inspired by the need for telemarkers to have their own day of celebration and founded by Josh Madsen, World Telemark Day gives telemarkers the opportunity to come together to celebrate freeing their heels and skiing for real.
This season World Telemark Day will bring telemark skiers together all around the Northern Hemisphere to celebrate the sport we all know and love. You can honor it in any way you want; a backcountry tour, resort hot laps, après with your best buddies, you name it. As always, the hashtag #spreadtelemark will unite us via social media. Use #WorldTelemarkDay2020 to see what everyone was up to in different areas.
This announcement comes in time to organize a demo, event, meet up, or even a movie showing (Our Family, perhaps?) at your home resort. This day isn’t just about current telemarkers, either. Encourage someone you know to try telemark for the day! They might just end up making the switch. Stock the beer fridge, dig out the barbecue, and get stoked!
We invite you to celebrate World Telemark Day at Manning Park Resort with our annual Bear Trap Telemark Festival!

Anybody planning on celebrating WTD at Tremblant???
Does somebody have a list of Telemark festivals compiled? I have a habit of missing this momentous occasion due to my ADDHD, the middle D being Dyslexia, of course. I got a burning need to rip it up with a Telebuddy or 2.
I’m way into this!
In fact I’m on way into work at a Ski resort now. I believe my first order of work today will be organizing some sort of Event to toast the God’s of Tele. Even if its just a snort of Aquavit out of a flask.
But I think its gonna go Off way more than that!
We need Sweatshirts. Or bandannas.
This is my 34th season; one of these days maybe I will get it right!
Awesome! Maybe I can find another tele chic to give me some tips. Riding BD boots and free heal sticks. Love them!
Yeah ! Nice.
I will join. I’m aunt Åsa 49 years old. Started on low leather boots in my early 22.
