Rottefella continues to revise NTN binding

More changes are slated for Rottefella's next generation NTN binding. Most are minor tweaks with the exception of the spring cartridges which will all be made shorter and softer.

Scarpa Offers Terminator-X Upgrade

Early adopters of the NTN (New Telemark Norm) may or may not be completely satisfied with their new rig. In particular, there is a significant difference in the flex of boots between last season's demo boots, and this season's production models. If you own Scarpa's Terminator-X and think they don't flex easily enough, or you want a softer flex, Scarpa is offering a free upgrade program. Details here.
VertFest 2008 Results

Crystal Mountain, 1mar08 - 62 racers competed for cash and prizes at Outdoor Research's 2nd Annual VertFest. Benedikt Bohm, a last minute entry from Germany won the race division with a time of 1:45:33.60 over a 4800' vertical foot course. Runners up were Jared Inouye from Salt Lake City, and Miki Knizka from North Vancouver, British Columbia. (Full story here.)

Bear Valley Telefest rocked by Turtles

The 2008 Bear Valley Telemark Festival was a gas. Friday and Saturday saw lots of free heelers taking clinics at the Bear Valley ski resort, with Sunday being the dedicated backcountry day. Saturday night Blue Turtle Seduction kept everyone groovin'.

By now you probably know that Rottefella’s New Telemark Norm (NTN) binding has arrived at select American retailers. If you’re wondering whether it’s time to switch platforms, you owe it to yourself to check ‘em out first hand, and if you’re intrigued enough, even demo a pair.
The reason is simple. NTN represents the future of telemark skiing. Or at least part of it. One can argue that this is yet to be proven.
