Scarpa to Upgrade '07 Terminator-X Boots
Option to change lower boot seen as Customer Service issue

Boulder, CO - Scarpa North America will be offering owners of their inaugural NTN compatible boot, the Terminator-X, the option to exchange the lower part of the boot with one that is identical to the lower boot offered for next season's version of Terminator-X. The difference is a softer bellows, which should make genuflecting into the telemark position easier.

According to Scarpa's official press release on this subject, based on "the feedback we’ve received from the early adopting TX-users, we are moving forward to take our boots ‘the next step’ forward. For F08, the TX (and TX Pro) shell-foot will be made using a triple-injection process. This allows much more control for the different flex patterns - essentially, the bellows flex will be softer without sacrificing any lateral stability or performance."

If you are interested upgrading the shell foot of your Terminator X boots, Scarpa recommends you continue using your boots for the remainder of this season. It is worth pointing out that after skiing a number of days, many skier get quite used to the stiffer bellows. Be aware that changing your shell foot will likely require changing your cartridges to get your desired flex.

The Upgrade Process (not until May08)
Upgrades will be done between June and September 2008. Please allow at least six weeks for the upgrade. Owners must pay to ship their boots for the upgrade to Scarpa North America.

SCARPA will replace, for no charge, the foot portion of the shell as well as the scuff guards with F08 TX feet and scuff guards. Scarpa will cover the cost of returning the modified boots to you.

If you need replacement edge guards, email: Rx for Tx
