Moonlight Basin Season Pushes On Through April With $25 Lift Tickets

It isn't even close to being the time to put your skis in the garage and pull out the mountain bike for the summer. At least not in Montana! After a week of new snow on top of a 90" base, Moonlight Basin has announced that it will be keeping the bull wheels running on the weekends of April 16-17 and 23-24. This means five days of completely closed terrain, allowing any snowstorms coming through to deposit plenty of new snow for the weekend warriors and powderhounds that just haven't gotten enough this season.

With so many resorts closing for the season in Utah, Wyoming, Idaho & Montana, Moonlight Basin provides an easy choice for a weekend getaway. It is only a three -hour drive for those that were just enjoying the deep snow of the Teton Mountains or catch a flight into the Bozeman airport and enjoy the scenic drive up the canyon along the emerald green waters of the Gallatin River.

And don't worry about blowing out the pocket book. Local lodging outfits are offering great deals and tickets during the extended season weekends will be $25, and you can knock off an additional $5 off by showing a season pass from any other resort.

Telemark Skier Magazine just spent the past weekend enjoying the late season face shots and good times with the locals. Two thumbs up!
